2016 Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen
Cheyenne Ward is the 22 year old daughter of Jeff and Tracy Ward of Brush Prairie Washington. She is a Prairie High School graduate from 2011. Cheyenne is a senior at Washington State University Vancouver where she is studying for her bachelors degree in Digital Technology and Culture, with a minor in English. She will graduate in May of 2016 with honors.
When she is not studying she enjoys attending game shows and barrel races. Her nine year old big bay paint mare, Jayde Bug, is her favorite horse to compete on. Cheyenne and Jayde have been together since Jayde was born. Even after some bumps and bruises from learning and growing up together, they are still best friends. They recently won their first belt buckle together at the Easy Riders Gaming Association Saddle Series in Longview Washington. On trail rides Jayde loves to find water to splash around in. That means anyone near by may end up soaked after all her playing.
Cheyenne also owns a three year old paint horse named Bentley. He loves accompanying Jayde to game shows and barrel races. He is most recognizable for his awesome mowhawk. Cheyenne shows Bentley in halter and western pleasure classes at local open shows. Bentley loves making public appearances in parades and other events. Make sure to stop by and say hello to him. You will also see Cheyenne and Bentley at the Clark County Fair patrolling with other members of the Clark County Mounted Patrol aka The Fence Riders.
Outside of the barn, Cheyenne enjoys spending time with her chocolate British Labrador Retriever named Anson. His favorite activity is stealing the reclining chair from his mom. They also enjoy going fishing together even though Anson often scares all the fish away.
Cheyenne invites all of you to her rodeo July 1-4th at the Clark County Saddle Club.
